The youth in Singapore today are living in a face-paced, technological-advanced society. In the midst of all the media overload, and endless internet pages they can visit, we realized there is a need to provide an alternative platform for this "wired-up generation" so they can have a safe place to express themselves, to grow and to figure out life together with others.
What keeps us distinct?1) We understand the people we're serving: We work with youth and young adults day-in and day-out. We know the needs, culture and trends.
2) We are professionally trained: All counsellors on the eGen team have a BA or higher degree in counselling or social work.
3) We understand the value of excellence: We strive to deliver the best that we could with the resources that we have to the community of bloggers on eGen.
4) We are non-profit : We're not in this for money. We do it because we love the young people and we want to reach them to them in a way that is relevant to them.
eGen was founded by a team of young adults from Project 180 (Youth Services) in 2004 to serve the youth in Singapore. We invite you to invest in these youth! We invite you to invest in the future of Singapore. The choice is yours, but the rewards are shared by everyone.
